Chad Wackerman

This former San Fernando Valley resident, (born Long Beach, California), adopted the shores of Sydney Australia as his home base over a decade ago.

Chad is a skilled jazz and rock drummer.

Chad began his professional career in 1978, and in that time he has managed to share his talents and showcase the abilities of Paiste Cymbals in a number of forums:

Professional Associations:

• A successful seven year affiliation with Frank Zappa encouraged the development and recording of 26 albums, (including the London Symphony recordings).

Recording Artist:

• Touring with Allan Holdsworth lead to the birth and recording of 6 albums.
• Played on the ‘One Voice’ album and video with Barbra Streisand.
• Recorded albums and toured with artists such as: Steve Vai, Andy Summers, Men At Work, Ed Mann, Albert Lee, Colin Hay, Dweezil Zappa and Tom Grant.

Seasoned Touring Artist:

• Chad has also toured with James Taylor, John Patitucci , Joe Sample, Banned from Utopia and The World Drummers Ensemble (Bill Bruford, Luis Conte, Dou Dou Ndiaye Rose and Chad Wackerman).
• Most recently toured the USA with ex-Zappa drummer - Terry Bozzio.

Band Leader and Composer:

• As a band leader and composer Chad has three critically acclaimed CDs titled 'Forty Reasons' and 'The View' and his latest release 'Scream'.
• Chad has written music for the television show 'The Dennis Miller Show'.
• Composed music for Allan Holdsworth's 'Secrets' , 'Wardenclyffe Tower' and 'Sixteen Men of Tain' CDs.
