Jake Mason
The 82Z is exactly what I need in a saxophone. It has great intonation, feels great to play and has a beautiful tone, allowing me to concentrate on the music!
Diversity is certainly one of Jake's major characteristics and so far, his career has gained him credits on CDs, theatre, live performances, compositions, and numerous film, television and web soundtracks. As a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts with a BA Hons. in Music Performance, Jake has played with some of Australia’s finest artists.
Active on the local and international music scene, Jake has performed at numerous festivals, from the local Wangaratta Jazz Festival, to festivals in, New Caledonia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. Jake has been instrumental in moving the boundaries of Jazz in Australia through the success of his jazz funk troupe – Deode, which has released four CDs with a fifth on the horizon! He also features on the recent vinyl release from Cookin’ On 3 Burners which is receiving rave reviews in Europe and the USA.
