Safe and Sound with Yamaha Brass and Woodwind - Now More Affordable and Reliable Than Ever!
Yamaha Music Australia recently conducted a mailout to 5000 Australian schools, enclosing a brochure and questionnaire. This questionnaire invited teachers to respond directly to Yamaha, to offer their opinions towards the quality, reliability and value of Yamaha brass and woodwind instruments.
The overall message from the responses Yamaha received (more than 3000!) is that teachers trust Yamaha instruments to be reliable and of a very high quality, offering students the best start on their musical journey. Yamaha is proud to produce instruments that not only sound good, but also make for an enjoyable and rewarding musical experience; it is pleasing to hear that the majority of Australia's music educators agree. The most common response however was that most teachers feel that Yamaha is, in some cases, a little expensive for parents to justify. Yamaha can certainly understand this, in light of cheaper instruments that are becoming increasingly available. Yamaha has decided to do something about this situation. As of 1st August 2004, Yamaha Music Australia has reduced the recommended retail price of all brass and woodwind instruments. For example, the popular student flute which previously retailed at $1095rrp is now priced at $895rrp. The YAS275 alto sax was originally priced at $2695rrp - this has been reduced to $2195rrp. Yamaha believe that these price reductions will make Yamaha instruments more financially viable for parents. This in turn will allow teachers to focus on what they do best, that is teaching music rather than worrying about adjustments and repairs, a common problem with lower quality instruments.
Yamaha Music Australia has also introduced a three year warranty, effective 1st August 2004, which covers all brass and woodwind instruments from Yamaha (purchased from an authorised Yamaha dealer). Look for the Yamaha Three Year Warranty logo for quality assurance at all times. This is just another reason why you can depend on Yamaha to provide your students with a "safe and sound" quality musical education.
