Terms Of Warranty

Total warranty period is 5 years maximum from the original date of purchase. It is important that you keep the receipt, as it is the only record of the purchase date.

Please register online within 3 months of purchase via this website to be valid.

The warranty covers all parts and labour (excluding the repair agent’s travel time) for a period of five years from the purchase date.

Yamaha Music Australia Pty Ltd agrees to replace or repair at their discretion and to exchange free of charge, any defective part in the Yamaha equipment supplied herein and/or to rectify faults which, in their opinion, are due to defective workmanship or materials within five years from the date of purchase provided all of the following conditions are met:

  • The Yamaha Professional Audio equipment is purchased from an authorised Yamaha Professional Audio dealer or Yamaha Commercial Audio dealer or agent.
  • The original retail price of the product (as recorded by Yamaha Music Australia) is less than $6,000 AUD**.
  • The original purchase receipt is retained as your proof of purchase.
  • Any service on your Yamaha Professional Audio equipment is carried out by authorised Yamaha Service Centres or authorised Yamaha technicians.

What Is Not Covered?

  • Any freight and handling costs relating to your warranty claim.
  • Yamaha Professional Audio Products purchased outside Australia.
  • Failure due to improper operation, modification, maintenance or repair.
  • Failure due to accidental damage or exposure to extremes in temperature or humidity.
  • Failure of switches, key contacts, potentiometers, external connectors or sensors.
  • Failure occurring through short circuit of any output or external influences.
  • Loudspeaker driver or diaphragm assemblies that, on inspection by a Yamaha Authorised Service Centre, are found to have burnt voice coils as a result of over driving, or a faulty amplifier.

    • DM2000VCM and associated products

**Yamaha Professional Audio products above $6,000 AUD recommended retail price in Australia have a warranty period limited to 12 months.

In the event that your Yamaha Professional Audio equipment requires warranty service, please contact your Yamaha Professional Audio dealer who will arrange for an authorised Yamaha technician to repair the equipment.
